In-Office Teeth Whitening
In-office teeth whitening is performed by a dentist at our clinic. It is a simple and painless procedure, typically taking about 60-90 minutes. Your dentist will first cover up your lips and gums, leaving only your teeth exposed. A hydrogen peroxide gel will then be applied to the teeth, and then exposed to a special LED light for 15 minutes. The light works to break apart carbon bonds that create the discolouration and stains. The procedure is repeated 3-4 times for best results.
Take-Home Teeth Whitening
Professional take-home teeth whitening kits are a safe and effective way to whiten teeth in the comfort and convenience of your own home. You are sent home with custom made plastic trays that we create using an impression of your teeth, along with a hydrogen peroxide whitening gel. The trays are filled with the gel and worn over the teeth for approximately 30 minutes a day, twice a day. Most patients see excellent results after a week or two, but individual results can vary.
